Our Staff

Administration - Our administrator was licensed in 1980 and has been at Southland for the last 37 years. He is responsible for the overall management of the facility and supports all the other departments.

Director of Nurses - The Director of Nurses, a graduate of both the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina with a Master’s degree in Nursing Admisntration has been affiliated with Southland Health Care Center for over twenty-eight years. In addition, she has been a licensed nursing home administrator for twenty-nine years. Her expertise in federal and state regulations has assisted in Southland being a deficiency free facility with a five-star rating. With her leadership, she has implemented culture change with resident centered care .

Assistant Director of Nurses - The Assistant Director of Nurses, a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of science in nursing, has been affiliated with Southland Health Care Center for over ten years. Her nursing knowledge, experience, and attention to detail is reflected in the individualized care given to each of our residents. Her compassion and dedication contributes to the exceptional service provided to our residents.

Admissions Coordinator- Our admissions coordinator is a recent addition to the administrative staff at Southland Health Care Center. Realizing that placing a cherished loved one in the right skilled nursing facility is a monumentally important decision, the Admissions Coordinator will gladly guide family members through the admissions process. Each step of the admissions paperwork is presented in an organized fashion. Come by and take a tour of the facility with our Admissions Coordinator today.

Social Service - Our social worker has been licensed in the state of South Carolina since 1988. She has worked in our facility for over 30 years. Being familiar with the regulations for Medicare and Medicaid, she is able to answer questions and assist with filing Medicaid applications for our residents.

Dietary -  CDM, CFPP--Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional. Serv Safe Certified. 2 years experience. Oversees the Kitchen and Dietary program.

Activities -  ADC--Activity Director Certified, 13 years of experience in developing and implementing activity programs that meet the social and psychosocial needs of residents in long term care.

Housekeeping Supervisor and Maintenance Department -  have many years experience in the health care enviorment. They maintain the general operation and sanitation of the facility.Our laundry services are provided daily.
